Most tourists spending a few days holidays on the Costa de Sol, which is the most southerly region of the Iberian Peninsula, arrive by air. This means that their first contact with the province of Malaga is its airport, the full name of which is the Pablo Ruiz Picasso Airport(Malaga - AGP). A total of 80 international airlines operate into and out of Malaga Airport, with regular flights linking Malaga with the principal cities of Europe and other continents. Most people take taxis, which are easily identified in this airport by the blue stripe painted on the white vehicle, the identifying taxi panel and the green light, if it is available. Although it is rare to find an unofficial taxi here, one is still advised to ask the price before beginning the journey. Local train There is a local train, called the ‘tren de cercanías’ in Spanish, and it stops just a few metres from the airport. This train links Malaga City with the area to the west and northwest of the city on two lines: one from the city to Fuengirola, stopping at the airport, Torremolinos, Arroyo de la Miel-Benalmadena (line C-1).
Palacio de Congresos (Torremolinos)The Exhibition and Congress Palace is situated in the neuralgic center of the communications by road of the Costa del Sol through the Autovia of the Mediterranean and the N-340. It is situated at only 3 Km. from the InternationalMalagaAirport and at about 700 meters there is a train station connected to Malaga and to the national territory by the AVE. Torremolinos is the first touristical place in the Costa del Sol and Andalucia, with a volume higher than 10 millions visitors per year Torremolinos is leader in the national touristical places.
